Riding through Montana, well part of it anyway
Today was a 323 mile ride through the countryside of Montana ending up in Columbus. Here are pictures of us cruising down the highway.
No pictures for Tuesday's ride
The batteries on my camera died so I don't have any pictures to post and the other guys didn't forward me any of theirs.
We rode hwy 12, also known as Lolo Pass east across Idaho to Missoula, Montana and then hwy 200 to Helena where we spent the night.

Wheat fields forever
We rode 250 miles today and 220 of them through wheat fields. Kansas has nothing on Oregon and Washington when it comes to wheat fields, all of which are on gigantic rolling hills as far as the eye can see. The roads through these hills were super with curves that rose and fell a plenty.
When we arrived at our motel in Lewiston, Idaho it was 106F so the indoor swimming pool and hot tub felt great.

Into Oregon
We crossed into Oregon today which gave Kevin, Nate and Rick checks on their states ridden bucket list.
We had a couple secluded twisty roads today along with some that were fairly congested with weekenders heading home.
We're spending the night in LaGrande, Oregon after a full day of riding.

Picture day.
It was a good day today. Perfect weather except a lot of smoke in the atmosphere from far away fires.
Took a bunch of pictures most of which were in the town of Clayton, Idaho that has a strong history of lead and silver mining. In recent years the locals have refurbished some of the towns buildings and turned them into museums show casing life in the early 1900s. We happened into the town while they were having a celebration of their heritage.
