Another good day. Temps very mild 65-80F. Clear skies all day. Found a little cafe for breakfast. Nice roads today, very curvy. We could see Mt.Hood and Mt.St.Helens in the distance. Headed down to the Columbia River and crossed over into Oregon and connected with the Columbia Gorge Scenic highway 30. Took it to Multnomah Falls. You try and pronounce that. We missed the turn to Bridal Veil Falls. We have no idea what this stone building was used for but it was worth a picture.
Jerry and Frank continued on to a famous shopping place built using an old building called Edgefield. Steve and I crossed back into Washington and took back roads through the forests and met the other guys at the motel in Kalama, WA. Its claim to fame is that Elvis stayed here in 1962.
Nice pics. Love the Falls..
ReplyDeleteSounds like Frank and Jerry went to a funny place..shopping?
McMenamins Edgewood.
DeleteBuilt in 1909 as a poor house. McMenamins converted it to a event center with rooms, restaurants, bars and gardens.
